Buyer Beware when buying domains from GoDaddy! As if this company doesn't make enough money, they obviously feel its necessary to screw over their customers as well.

We had a close encounter with just how GoDaddy! treats the people who spend money with GoDaddy!

1. If you buy a domain at GoDaddy and it becomes valuable (or if THEY feel it has potential) and you are even the slightest bit late renewing it (in this economy who isnt late on bills?) GoDaddy! will allow a grace period for which they will kindly charge you a minimum $80.00 to get your $10.00 domain back.

2. If you do not renew the domain and even if no one else wants the domain if GoDaddy! believes the domain has value, GoDaddy! will assume the domain and put it on the market as a PREMIUM domain and try to sell it at a very high price.

As you can see from the image, a $10.00 domain now becomes a $500.00 domain. You see, GoDaddy! is in the domain business and even if it means killing their own customers they WILL make a profit!

The new strategy at GoDaddy! appears to be mafia style - you pay the $80.00 holding fee to renew your domain or we take it and sell it for whatever we can get.

Sounds bully...........

Not only do they try to swindle you by having a bunch of add-ons to their order forms and processes, they will also step in and take other people's ideas and company materials.
